Nestled in the Midford Valley, the secluded hamlet takes its name from the mill which once stood on the site where ‘tucking’, a cleansing process for wool, was undertaken.

The cottage has also been awarded the ‘Cyclist’s Welcome’ and ‘Walker’s Welcome’ awards, with cycle storage and facilities for drying clothes. There are many delightful country walks and cycle routes on your doorstep, including the newly opened tunnel route – Sustrans Route 24. Two excellent independent pubs are within a 15 minutes’ walk and both serve delicious home-cooked food at lunch and evening times.

Your Home Away From Home

The single-storey cottage has a spacious open plan living room, with two sofas surrounding an electric wood burning stove, a dining area for six and a fully equipped contemporary kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher.

On the same level, the beautifully appointed master bedroom features a luxury 1200 pocket sprung king-sized bed, dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen. Comfortable and cosy, the bed guarantees you a good night’s sleep.

The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with towels provided for all guests. Tucking Mill View also benefits from free WiFi, iPod docking station, flat screen television and DVD player in the living room.

The Great Outdoors

Outside, the private south facing terrace, equipped with a BBQ and table and chairs, overlooks the tranquil and wildlife-rich Midford Valley. Fly fishing on the Midford Brook can also be arranged on request.

Getting to and from Bath city centre

If you don’t have a car, the local taxi service can drive you into Bath city centre in under 15 minutes, usually for around £12.00.

Once you’re all moved in and settled, why not consider taking the local bus route from the Hope & Anchor in Midford? It’s only a short ten minute walk along the beautiful Two Tunnels Greenway to the Hope & Anchor pub where you can take the frequent 267 service into Bath.

It is also a lovely route into Bath if you’re a keen cyclist, or an hour’s walk; if you need directions, maps are supplied in each of our cottages.

Parking at the property is free of charge, off-road, and available for 2 cars. There is also an electric car charging point installed at our holiday let, should you need it.
